This paper aims at outlining some elements for an analysis of the amending process in the italian Constitution. It is essential to understand the characters of constitutional laws. The author considers the formal aspects first of all. But also the problems linked to differences between  the logic of constitutional consensus and the logic of political majority, considered in its prospective meaning.
