The conflict between the Crown and Prime Minister in the liberal statutory age
This article examines the relationship between the Prime Minister and the Crown between 1848 and 1922. The Prime Minister and the government were not mentioned in the Albertine Statute. In fact, the Albertine Statute only mentioned ministers. Although not expressly mentioned in the Statute, the Prime Minister appeared in 1848. However, the Prime Minister was forced to confront the Crown. The consequence was the emergence of tension between the Crown on the one hand and the Prime Minister on the other, which influenced Italian constitutional history in the liberal age.
